Another fad diet book with attractively packaged and with a catchy title. This is the most original book to hit the shelves in years. If you don’t want to have to buy tripe like this here’s a tip: Don’t get stout in the first place! If you’re already stuck being stout then buy Kevin Trudeau’s books he has the real insider secrets that will make you skinny and healthy!

I still don’t know the obsession with the You books. Perhaps it’s because Oprah has them on her web site, but they are really doing people a disservice. Yes, they are somewhat witty, and that makes people turn the pages, but I find their information misleading, and always looking toward the final answer when all else fails. They have disguised their right money-making scheme in the context of body education, while never truly speaking to the reason for weight gain or waist size increase. Food cobining is far more vital than the actual choices. I agree with their assessment of inflamation, but not with their suggested recourse. Oprah and others need more info before sinking their teeth into the You books. Prescription for nutritional healing will educate you on foods and their components. Forget The Cures, Find The Cause will educate you on your body and the connection to mind and spirit. This book likes to patronize, just as the former titles, and lead you to the final solution guised in awareness of risk.

  3. I am so dissapointed in this book that I will be returning it.
I bought a book by an unknown author(Cailor)on Amazon called The Beer Drinkers Diet that was 100 times better and more effective than this book.
    Buyer beware!

It still amounts to counting calories and exercising, so what’s new? This new book is informative about how the body works and which foods to eliminate, but really that’s about it! Nothing new from the standpoint of losing weight! If you want a weight loss program that not only causes weight loss, BUT KEEPS IT OFF, look up LET’S DO LUNCH (letsdolunch). . . you eat until you’re full whenever you’re hungry, and Let’s Do Lunch eliminates all of your cravings, while you’re eating all the healthy starchy carbs you want, along with all the lean red meat and sweetest fresh fruits and fruit smoothies you want, and without counting calories, carbs, points or anything else.

Eat less. Use that money you want to blow on this book, and invest it. No BOOK is going to make it all better. Here is the simple truth:

    1. Eat slower. chew your food slower. So when you are full, you have eaten less. and parts are CRAZY these days. I order the kids menu guys. Even that part is sickening at some restaurants.

    2. Exercise. Nothing crazy. Walk, do a few crunches. . .

    3. If you eat when you are mad, sad or some other emotion, you need to tell your Doctor. You have an eating disorder, and need to possibly be place on an anti-depressant–(I know, they suck), or maybe you have some medical issues (Diabetes, etc. )

Those are the things that will work. Not wasting more money on Diet Books — Do you KNOW how many there are out there? Do you know why people write them? Because they know they sell. Don’t fall for it yet again.
