I’m on a low carb diet and these bars fit in nicely; they taste great! I store a few in the fridge (because they melt easily) and grab one whenever I’m snacky. I have also tried the South Beach Living Meal Replacement Bars, Chocolate Crisp, 1. 76 -Ounce Bars (Pack of 12), which are higher protein and larger, but these taste better; the Meal Replacement Bars are more like dry chocolate Rice Krispy treats, and these are more like a chocolate candy bar.

Nutritional facts per bar: 1. 23 OZ bars; 5g fat; 150mg sodium; 170mg potassium; 15g total carb (3g fiber, 7g sugars, 3g sugar alcohols = 9g NET CARBS); 10g protein.

OMG! These are delicious! The have amazing chewy texture, and real chocolate taste! I’ve found that a high protein diet had been the best at helping me to shed fat (esp in the belly area), and when I have a craving for a granola-type bar, chocolate, or am on the go, these are my top choice! Not only are these low in calories (just 140), but they have a whopping 10g of protein and 3g of fiber – just what I need to stay full! One other thing that makes these unique, is that contain NO high-fructose corn syrup or trans fats. Thank you to SB for making such an outstanding product and to Amazon for great prices on them!

If you do a lot of physical training and are looking for good souces of protein without all the calories, look no further. These bars taste great (I like chocolate the best, although there’s several other great flavors) and they give you 10 grams of protein- AND ONLY 140 CALORIES! Keep in mind that protein stays in your stomach longer than fats or carbohydrates, so with 10 grams of protein swimming around in your stomach, you’re certainly going to be staying full for awhile.

You just can’t beat that. . .

I just received my latest automatic shipment of South Beach Living High Protein Bars only to find that it appears that Kraft has changed the recipe so that there are now more carbs and less protein per bar. If you are on a low carb diet, this is not good news. I have cancelled my automatic shipment and will be looking for another alternative.

All of these bars are tasty and nutritious,,,,the best I have found,,but the price has been lowered in the retail market and for some reason the price remains the same on Amazon. I can buy them now for $2. 50 to $3. 00 per box at Walmart, Publix, etc,,,so shop around. Have purchased lots of these South Beach cereal bars and the other flavors and bars from Amazon in the past. I agree with the one reviewer that there are now more carbs in the bars now. . . . . . . . . why did they change it?
